Hosting transfer

To transfer the website to the new Hosting Provider, you need to carry out these operations:

• Purchase hosting plan
• Website migration (files and database) within the hosting plan
• Domain transfer to the new Provider

The website migration service is not linked to the domain transfer operation.

Domain transfer

To transfer a domain you need the following:

• have the transfer code (auth or EPP code) to be entered when ordering
• the domain must not be blocked (status: locked)
• the domain must not be protected by Whois
• the domain must not have expired

If the domain is blocked or protected by Whois, you will need to contact your Provider, as well as request the transfer code (if you don’t have it). However, if the domain has expired, it cannot be transferred but it will be necessary to renew it with the current Provider, and then transfer it 60 days after renewal.

From the moment the domain transfer is started, the Registrar may send a confirmation email which must be confirmed so as not to block the procedure ; Transfer times vary depending on the domain extension, but usually it is necessary to wait 5 days from the start of the domain transfer procedure.

Website migration

There will be no service interruptions because domain transfer times provide the opportunity to migrate website content within of the new Server.

Until the domain transfer is completed, the domain will point to the current Server and not the new one.

The migration of the website can be carried out independently by you, otherwise it can be entrusted to Xlogic starting from 25 euros.

To allow us to successfully migrate the website (files + database), you will need to open a support ticket and provide us with the following:

• Link and credentials to access via FTP (site files and folders)
• Link and credentials to access via MySQL (site database, if present)

Our technicians will transfer the site to the new Hosting plan purchased on Xlogic; in this way, as soon as the domain transfer procedure is completed, you will see your website functioning on the new Hosting.

If your previous Provider uses the cPanel panel, in addition to the website, our technicians will also transfer the mailboxes and mails.
